In case you're wondering

... what we did for Valentine's Day celebration?...

14 Feb 08 - It was utterly important for me to skip V-day celebration to attend my oil painting class. I had to add in final touches to my pear and box! : ) Class ended around 1015pm. I was happy and satisfied carrying my yet-to-dry master piece. As I was crossing the traffic light junction, there was a strong gush of wind. My master piece was blown off my fingers and it ended smack into my face. Bear in mind, it was not dry! I ended up with a huge patch of brown paint on my face in the middle of the road. Great, I sure look pretty!

15 Feb 08 - Pissed off day @ work. Nearly murdered some really "nice and cool" colleagues. Not to mention preparing to ambush my superior when he finally returns. In the evening, MOTH and I made our way to Clarke Quay. I gulped down a nice strong Lychee Martinee. Ahhhh... heaven. Though it burns my stomach, I was happily high and relaxed. Both of us made our way to a nice bar restaurant for dinner & drinks. Alright, you guessed it... the name of the bar restaurant is "Bar Fly". We had a nice time in dark bar, filled with gothic design and a headless angel.

Ps - Thanks MOTH for organising the flowers, dinner and of coz, presents.

Latest Member of the family

16 Feb 08

Don't be misled by my subject title. The latest member of my family is not of human nature, certainly not related to happy news of "a" pregnancy.

We welcome a 3 month old female kitten to our family. She is from the Ragamuffin cat species. So what's her name? Initially, the 4-year old wanted to name her Lola, then Charlie... then Ragamuffin, finally we all settled and agreed to name her Raggie (in short).

We selected her from Pet Tales and she was delivered to our door step the same night. Well, everything went smoothly. The 4-year old took responsibility to entertain her kitten while MOTH and I braved through the strong stench of urine (which came along with her new cage), assembling her 3 storey condominum. The 4-year old also put the kitten's belongings away, and preparing her feed.

Fortunately, MOTH took to this kitten (unlike the Prince Charles Cocker spaniel which we shamefully owned for a short span of time). Ms Raggie has settled in well, begun her little cat adventures of running, hopping, climbing in her graceful ways.

Gosh, she did all her "big and tiny businesses" in her litter tray leaving no trace of mess at all. We didn't even think she had visited her litter tray until I started digging through the sand bits (with a scoop of course).

We love this little feline addition. Truly, really, do...

Outing ZoO

10 Feb 08

To wrap up the Lunar New Year public holiday break, we brought our 4-year old to the zoo. We had the feeling that we were all excited about seeing the animals instead of the 4-year old.

Hmm...

Ps. Which reminds me, MOTH, where're the photos? I'm right here waiting for them.

Gong Xi Fa Cai

7 Feb 08 -

PM:
We had an extended family gathering at our uncle's place. The girls are so beautifully dressed. My nieces, Nichelle (aka Puppy) & Natalie are in Chinese dresses. My gal (aka Ah Meow) in a Korean dress.

Late PM:
As it's her b-day today as well, we had steamboat dinner at our home and a party for my little gal. No photos were taken at this very important event as her mummy and daddy were dog-tired with the double-happiness festive preparation.

it was a challenge taking this photo with the strong wind blowing against us plus me having to carry 2 kids... but we love this photo (see below).

4

6-Feb-2008, Lunar New Year Eve

This Lunar New Year is extra special for us as it's also marks our little girl's 4th birthday.

Delivering her 4 years ago was real hard work with over 16 hours in labour. She finally appeared from my womb naturally with three rounds of umblical cord around her neck. She was a tough fighter. No sign of distress from her... she just arrived when the time was ripe.

On the eve of her birthday, we had an early celebration with her friends at school with cupcakes and stickers.

In case, you are wondering which is our little girl... she's the one in a red dress with the most comical poses such as wearing a party hat on her eye instead of the head...

she's imitating a sea horse.

the red ribbon around her is supposedly to be seaweed

The Undescribable Grief

29 Jan 2008

A very good friend of mine... lost her dearest daughter, her only child, her only closest kin, in a motorcycle accident. The loss is so tragic, so sudden, no goodbyes, no last words, no last look.
She was 28 years old and had been taken by God instantly.

As my friend grieve, I grieve with her. I can't bring myself to shed tears as I must stay strong for my friend. But my heart is terribly heavy with tears, like rain clouds.

No words can describe my feelings and no words from my heart can console and comfort my friend at this junction.

~ Rest in Peace, Dear Sunita ~
