Beautiful & touching story about Marley the dog & his family.
I laughed uncontrollably & felt sad as well when I read of tales of their lifes through ups and downs - how they got Marley as a puppy, how they got pregnant (& morning sickness...oooh), miscarried their first baby, how they tried to train the "loppy dog" and then welcoming 3 other children to their family.
It's wonderful to have a pet as part of the family. But the author also reminded us on other aspects like working with the pet, tolerating the pet when he's in the mode of destroying your furnitures, loving your pet even when he's a MONSTER, & also preparing the family when the end is drawing near. I think the worst part is mourning over the death.
I layed my hands on the book just before groceries shopping on Sunday evening and since then, I couldn't put the book down.
If God's willing, I hope to welcome another addition to our family.
A little BOY. I'm determined to name him "George Jnr" despite MOTH's protests!!!
Or maybe I could get a male huge puppy like Marley & name him in honor of MOTH, George Jnr!
