Heart of A Mother

I bumped into my colleague after lunch time today. I secretly admire her - her happy and easy going nature, her tall & slender figure (oh... she's real sexy in those pants) + she's a mother to a son and a daughter. I was told she's like a superwoman. Never calling in sick, never taking urgent leave for her children (unlike me).

Today she seemed a little down. I said hi to her but I didn't probe. Suddenly she revealed that her meeting with her superior always go far too long and that it's past lunchtime and she's famished. Finally, she said "I wish I could go home right now to my son and daughter!"

To that I added "No problem, I approve your leave right now. Your children deserves more of you!" (than your stupid superior, I thought to myself).

Her confidence in me made me see that all mothers share the same feelings for their children. No matter how tough a woman is, she's not made of steel, she's entitled to her breaks, her emotional outburst, her yearning to be close to her children.
