Initiative

Sometime this week, I returned home from work to hear May telling me, "M'aam, the photos of you when you were young... you look thin ahh...".

Hmm... excuse me??? Are my ears hearing right?
My helper has not once but on couple of instances taken her "initiative" to comment about my figure aka my weight.

Yes, I was slim when I was in my teens aro 15-16 years old. 16 years later, I must've put on around 13-15 kg and maintaining the current weight for the past 3.5 years since I had the little one.

Whenever she made comments about people's weight or figure, I chose to ignore her or change the topic. I was shocked as there was once she said, "You know that little girl (the 3.5 year class mate), she has a nice figure...".

Seriously when she said that, I nearly fainted. Imagine that May is commenting about the figure of a young child barely 4 years old. Is this right? To her comment, I simply said "Sorry May, but I don't notice people's figure." That shut her up.

Instead of taking "initiative" to pin point others' shape, size & figure, I wish she takes more initiative and pay more attention to tidy up our fridge and cabinets.

I've always spotted & thrown out expired food products, medication, etc.
Thank goodness, I'm pretty vigilant to spot check on the shelf life of these items. Otherwise, the whole family may experience food poisoning or the 3.5 year old may suffer poisoning from expired medication.

She never fails to amaze me with her "packing method". Simply chuck everything together and dump them into the cabinets. She doesn't know what she's packing, or read labels, brands, instructions at all.

When I pinpoint to her where the items are, she simply said "I didn't notice." How can anyone pack without noticing what they are packing? If I've the time (hopefully soon), I will reorganise the kitchen cabinets (currently messily swamped with plastic containers and god knows what?).
